Working Through Healing

Alexia’s Working Through Healing is an up close and personal accounting of what role healing plays in life and each connected relationship.  We underestimate the amount of damage that can occur to us physically, emotionally, financially, mentally, and (yes) spiritually when we fail to acknowledge improper relationships, when we allow too much time between apologies, and neglect ourselves to make others happy.  Remember, it does not matter who inflicts the wound or how it came about; all wounds require healing for the wounded person to regain or experience wholeness.

Return To Sender

Denise’s Return to Sender is the story of a young girl who experienced unfortunate circumstances in life.  The joy of falling in love was shattered at the hands of a high school boyfriend.  Like many others do in similar situations, the young girl ignored the warning signs. Over time she attempted to walk away but somehow remained in the relationship even after the abuse increased from verbal to physical.

The Reincarnation Of A Survivor

Perry was 28 years old when he began to experience different emotions.  So many thoughts occurred inside of his head.  He didn’t know how to express himself verbally.  Then, one day, he ran across an ink pen.  From the street life in the drug game to the poetic flow as described by a reincarnated survivor, this book is a compilation of every emotion and experience on paper.

Now Unto Him: A Tale Of Deliverance & Restoration

Paula’s attractions, feelings, thoughts, and behaviors once centered around being a lesbian for years.  Yet, she thought she was ready to be a vessel for God. Now Unto Him depicts Paula’s personal journey of strongholds, deliverance, liberation, and restoration through true transparency as a Christian woman living a lesbian life.

I Made It And You Can Too

It felt like a ton of bricks had just fallen on me. Oh, who could imagine such pain? Suddenly, I was divorced with two young daughters. What was I going to do? How would I make it in this world? Have you ever experienced this type of pain? Well, I was not the first, nor the last, to travel this path. Life has a way of throwing curve balls, but it is up to you and me to fight with all our might. In the end – WE WIN!

A Fatherless Daughter

Did you know that there was such a thing called “Fatherless Daughter Syndrome?”   Well, it is.  Fatherless Daughter Syndrome is a disorder of the emotional system that leads to repeated dysfunctional relationship decisions with men as girls grow up, especially in areas of trust and self-worth.   It is also the lack of emotional attachment between a daughter and her father in his absence, be it death, divorce, abuse, addiction, abandonment, or incarceration.  This book may not be for everyone, but if you have ever felt lost, this book may help shine light onto what you think is a dark time.

Connected Conversations

Trauma is not defined by how much or how bad your experience has been. Instead, trauma is based solely on how deeply it has affected you.  Connected Conversations is a poetic journey of Loss, Love, Obstacles, and Victories. In some way, every conversation connects to the other.

Awakening Where Do I Go In My Mind?

Every life’s journey includes people and experiences.  People and experiences help to create memories.  We can either keep those memories stored on the shelves of our minds or use them to help discover – and live – our life’s purpose.

What appears to be small beginnings, unfairness, and even misfortune can lead to your awakening if you decide to view them (all) from a place of good. Be awakened.  There is much work to be done, and we each have a responsibility to contribute positively to our families, communities, cities, states, and the world.

Chitlins and Rice

This children’s book tells the story of Patricia, a little girl who rejects the thought of trying a certain food due to its smell. Patricia has no desire to try something new. However, she learns the history of Chitterlings and discovers that the food she rejects is (actually) a delicacy.

Patricia discovers she should not prejudge what is on someone else’s plate as various foods from many cultures are prepared daily worldwide.

As she is challenged throughout the day, will she change her mind and try them?

Unmerited Favor

Unmerited Favor is about two people who, throughout life, always found a way to “get over.”  You are about to meet two people whose lives have been changed for the better.  We share two individual stories that became intertwined into a life that gives you, the reader, insight into how our marriage has survived 28 years (and counting) of ups and downs, all because of God and his unmerited favor.
